Texture, shadow and simulated cityscape lighting was introduced to the North facing 40th floor residential space at the top of the Barbican Tower in London. A single timber wall as element runs through the entire apartment to unify the disparate spaces containing sliding doors, pivot doors, lighting to create a variety of possible configurations from completely open to closed and continues the radical spirit of the original Barbican interior detailing.

Brad Lochore was commisioned to produce an artwork based on the shadows of nearby Bunhill Fields. The work is consistant with the concept to introduce shadow and texture to the very flat 40th floor North facing location.
